Ducard Goes to the Dogs; Pet Rescue Alliance at BOW

June 6-8, 2014

Each week, the Wine Dogs sniff out the most PAWSOME events for weekend ahead. This week’s Ducard goes to the dogs on Saturday and the Pet Rescue Alliance is coming to BOW on Sunday.

Got a lead? Send it to

June 7 (12-6pm), Dog Days of Summer at Ducard Vineyards. Come out and support the Madison County Animal Shelter with this great benefit fundraiser.  Lovable pets will be available for adoption and live music from 2-5 by 2 Wishes will entertain the soul and Flavor Savor BBQ truck will be there to help feed it.  Feel free to bring your own pets as well (leashed, please).  Also on site will be glass artist Patty Sevre.  A beautiful way to spend the day.  No cover.  Contributions to the Shelter appreciated.

June 8 (Noon-4), the Pet Rescue Alliance is hosting an adoption event at the super pet-friendly Barrel Oak Winery. Visiting the winery is completely free but an $11 donation to PRA gets you a ticket for a free wine tasting!

Dogs like Neve, pictured below, will be there for adoption (does she remind you of a certain white fluffy Wine Dog?) If you're looking for a new furry friend or if you just want to say hello and sip on some wine in a beautiful locale, please come by! Barrel Oak Winery is child and dog friendly, so bring the whole gang!
